Frequently asked questions

Will it publish articles automatically as soon as I install it?

Approval is always required before publishing. Start the free beta by adding company information, preparing plans and articles with your AI, and reviewing them. Scheduled creation and updates require an API connection, an optional automation service and WordPress scheduling configuration. Activating the plugin alone does not start unattended operation.

Can I use it without an API key?

Yes. Copy the instructions into your AI and paste its response back in the specified format. API connections support OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini. MCP is for hosts supporting HTTP Basic authentication and works while the connected AI runs. This does not mean it can be registered directly in every ChatGPT connection screen.

What information should I start with?

Start with one publishable service detail, a real case or a team member's experience. Only information with checked sources and publishing permission is used as evidence. When evidence is missing, Rootpublish organizes follow-up questions instead of inventing results or numbers.

What happens to existing articles and SEO settings?

Rootpublish applies the standard post title and body without overwriting custom SEO metadata. It stops applying changes if multiple major SEO plugins are active. To preserve structure, articles containing images, links, tables, shortcodes or custom blocks are excluded from automatic updates and should be edited in WordPress.

Will it improve AI search visibility or rankings?

Inclusion, citations and ranking gains are not guaranteed. Rootpublish helps prepare articles grounded in primary sources and search intent, check references, record changes and observe results. Judge outcomes using actual measurements after publication, not article counts alone.

What do I need to install it?

You need WordPress 6.6 or later, PHP 8.1 or later, and your own AI for writing articles. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, select the ZIP and activate it. Try it in a backed-up test environment first. The plugin admin currently uses Japanese and supports standard posts. Company information and proposals are stored in your WordPress installation.
